Closure of Coulsdon Medical Practice
Dr Jamil Khan has taken the decision to retire after more than 34 years of serving his local community, meaning that his practice will close permanently on 26th October. We would like to thank Dr Khan for his tenure at Coulsdon Medical Practice and wish him all the best in the future.
NHS Croydon Clinical Commissioning Group and Dr Khan discussed different options to support the continued delivery of primary care services from the Coulsdon Medical Practice site. After considering all of the options available, regrettably closure of the Practice was the only option available. In our letter to patients we provided a list of nearby practices which have indicated they have space on their patient list.
We have also worked with local residents’ associations to arrange a series of drop in sessions to support residents to register with a new practice. Sessions have been arranged for during the day and at weekends and evenings at a place near the practice to give everyone an opportunity to attend.
The next two sessions will be held at Coulsdon Methodist Church, 83 Brighton Road, CR5 2BE on:
· Wednesday 19th September 2018 11am to 1pm
· Wednesday 26th September 2018 5.30pm to 7.30pm
We will continue to contact patients via letter who do not register at another practice until the end of October.
We have added another drop in session for patients who have queries about the registration process:
Monday 8th Oct 9.30 am to 11.30 am at Coulsdon Methodist Church, 83 Brighton Road, CR5 2BE
